This week’s inclusion of Freddy Adu in the US Men’s National Team roster for this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament set our logo-scouting sights on the country where Adu currently plays his club ball: Turkey.
It turns out that there is a wealth of cool team crests in Turkey. We found some really good ones, which we carefully stashed away for possible use in future FC Shirts United tournaments. But in addition to those, we saw a bunch that are just really interesting, even if we can’t quite see them as shirt-worthy.
So here are those also-rans, with no commentary other than pointing out that the first one is Freddy’s club, Çaykur Rizespor (sorry, Freddy), and the second one wins its honorable mention pretty much solely because the team is called “Batman Belediyespor“.
